I’ve been given the go ahead to try out word press for the library newsletter and it seemed a prudent idea to set myself up as well. Practice makes perfect, right? And I’ve only ever dabbled at wordpress before.
I’m excited about working with the blog for the library because I think it could be a really neat and useful venture for us.
I think it’d be awesome if more of the library got into blogging and social networking. I think it could be a great teaching tool.
Right, now I’m off to work on a piece of short fiction that I’ve been working on for ages, maybe tonight I can finish the first draft!
I am on my library system web 2.0 committee. I know all the cool things these tools can do for public and the library. However, the progress is very slow from the top in enacting web 2.0 so beware of the same resistance.
