A Day in Boston

Katie and I spent the day down in Boston for a few morning errands and then we took the afternoon for some fun!

We headed down to Harvard (thankfully the red line was back up and running again, it went down for part of Saturday.  We had lunch at Wagamama, and I couldn’t help but get curry again, this time with chicken.  Just thinking about it now makes my mouth water.  It was so delicious!!  Slightly high in points, but WELL worth it.  Delicious!

Next stop was the anime store where Katie picked out some new anime and I browsed some Nintendo DS accessories (though I didn’t buy any).  Then we stopped by the LUSH store.

It’s just such a lovely store.  I love the ladies who work there.  This time I didn’t really need anything but I was kind of interested in trying out Sweet Japanese Girl, a facial cleanser/exfoliant that they make.  So I picked that up and while I was waffling around trying to decide if I “needed” anything else one of the ladies asked if I’d ever tried the toners.  I said that I hadn’t, though I had always kind of wanted to try them.  She raved about them and then gave me a VERY generous free sample to try.  She also gave Katie a sample.

Good thing they did too!!  Sweet Japanese girl is basically a solid oil with exfoliants in it!  I washed my face this morning in the shower and went ACK!  I couldn’t get the stuff off!  I got out of the shower and went for the toner.  Thankfully that did the trick.  I’m not entirely sure how I feel about SJG yet.  I’m going to give it a week and see how my face feels and how my pores look.  Exfoliants = YAY!  But that was hard to get off.

The toner felt really nice though.   And I think it’d be even better in the spray bottles that it normally comes in rather than just the little sample container.

We got stuck in traffic a bit on the way home, but it wasn’t as bad as I was expecting for rush hour.  We did miss the farmer’s market in dover though.  Bummer there.

Maybe I can make it out to the one in Portsmouth this weekend though :)
