This morning I came to work late because I was helping Katie get things set up for her work day. At her company this last week has been charitable giving week and there have been donations and contests and all kinds of fun things. Today they’re going to the Dover Children’s home and helping spruce up the place. Painting and repairing and all kinds of that sort of thing.
So I helped load the car with buckets and things and then caught the later bus. Since it was going to long way through town I was able to get a good seat and I made two afghan squares! So although I was late to work, I felt very accomplished.
Last night I met Katie at the mall and we had dinner and a movie. The movie wasn’t until 7 so we had some extra time to wander around. It was too cold to walk outside so I dragged her into Michaels with me to look at yarn. They had some REALLY soft acrylic on sale for two dollars a skein. I got some bright yellow (to make a hat for mom), some pretty teal, and a lovely wine color. I also seized the chance to grab a few of those freebie pattern sheets. I must get some plastic page protectors and slip them into my pattern binder.
Maybe I should get tabs and sort by project… am such a librarian!
