I had a fabulous lunch with Tanya today over at the Balcony Bistro. She treated me as a birthday present. And it was WICKED nice!
It was the first of the year for the students and I have to say they all did exceptionally well. The food was delicious, the service was impeccable, and it’s a nice little place. I had filet mignon (for the second time in my life) and it was excellent. There were sauteed veggies and rice and a delicious salad too. And a brownie sundae with maple walnut ice cream. Mmmmmm.
I’m having a lovely birthday week! On Sunday, after puppy-sitting for Bethany’s puppy (Indiana), we stayed and had pizza with her whole family. And that was really great, I love her family :)
Yesterday I went to a cooking class at Stonewall Kitchens, a birthday present from Katie’s mum and dad. It was called Food from Where We Live… A Celebration of the First Day of Autumn. It was delicious and wonderful and fun and I loved every moment of it. Especially the fried green tomatoes :}
Tonight is my actual birthday and is also writing night. So there will be cupcakes or something fun and a surprise that Katie has been dangling in front of my nose for a while :}
Tomorrow night is Stitch n Bitch night! YAY! Thursday is dinner out with Katie’s mum and dad, Friday is games night, and Saturday is my birthday party out at Hibachis! *dances* A whole beautiful birthday week!
I am so happy :)
