Rennison, Louise. On the Bright Side, I’m Now the Girlfriend of a Sex God: Further Confessions of Georgia Nicolson. New York: Harper Teen, 2002.
Georgia Nicholson should be over the moon! She’s now the girlfriend of a Sex God! She’s made it to at least six on the snoggisity scale and she’s found the perfect way to get around the beret-wearing rule at her school. She was spared at the last moment from having to move to “Kiwi-a-gogo land”. So all in all life was looking pretty fabbity-fab-fab!
And then the SG (Sex God) had to go and dump her for being too young for him! Well, Georgia will sure show him! She’s going to demonstrate just how high her maturiosity really is. She’s read that men are from Mars and they’re really like elastic bands. The Sex God will surely come springing back once he sees how Zen and mature Georgia can be. Besides, she’s got new lippy and Dave the Laugh to make the SG jealous.
On the Bright Side picks up right where the previous book, Angus, Thongs, and Full Frontal Snogging left off. Told in the format of a diary, Georgia updates us by the minute about everything going on in her fab life of fame and adventures. From dealing with her snogging parents (ew!) to her best friend Jas who is really “half-girl, half-turnip”. Georgia is never for one minute at less than her best. Louise Rennison doesn’t disappoint in this new Georgia book.
